I got both my cats from the shelter. When one of them would misbehave I used to tell them if it wasn't for me they would have been gassed a long time ago.

If the animal shelter does not think the animal will sell right away, they are done for they are in it for the money don't think they really give a shit only the volunteer works are the only ones that care

Yes. Most animal shelters don’t have the funds to care for the animals indefinitely. So if they aren’t adopted out within a certain amount of time, they get put down. It is what it is.
