Wanting a dog but not wanting to pick up after it?

As the title says, i have become fed up with people all around me there are many people who have dogs who walk them past my yard each day, and of course, no one picks up after them, there is poop all over my city, and they just leave it on my yard.
it is disgusting, i hate it, i am not a dog person so maybe i am not really understanding it and what it is like to walk a dog, but who else is tired of people who want a dog but could care less about cleaning it up? it is just rude to do what they do :(

You're not wrong.

People who have dogs (I wouldn't bestow them the honour of the "dog owner" title) who don't pick up after them are terrible people.

You own a dog? You're responsible for it. That includes training, feeding, caring for, protecting, and picking up after the dog.

In my neighborhood people walk their dogs (most people have more than one) and pick up the dog poop in a plastic bag. Then when nobody is looking they drop it by the side of the road.
