Should I get a dog?

I work full time and i'm barely home on the weekends. Don't have a lot of spare money, no idea how to look after a dog but I could learn! I just want a fury friend to snuggle with.

In that case, I’d recommend NO— Only because they are extremely time consuming, a very very big commitment, & require basically a lifelong investment in their well-being. It would be selfish of you & unfair to them if you didn’t have the time and energy to invest that they require.
Perhaps a suggestion I could make would be to do part time animal sitting (rover. com or care. com) to get your furry fix — OR even better, make a difference in an animal’s life & volunteer at your local animal shelter!! That way you get a feel for furry kids AND give back to the greater good!

No dogs require a lot of attention you’re not ready for that. We have to play with them put them walk them every day seven days a week not just a little pat on the head for two minutes and go back in the house all day

No. If you don't have the spare time, do not get a dog. You could barely even keep a fish alive if you're busy.

Ask yourself if you would like to be left alone as much as you think your dog would be.

It doesn't sound like you have time to care for a dog. They have to be walked every day and they don't like being left alone. Have you considered a cat?
