Do they leave on the step, hide somewhere or leave with a neighbour?

My wife and I live on 30 acres in a nice rural area. We have a 4/10th of a mile long driveway that winds up our hill to our house. We would rather not have trucks driving up and tearing up our gravel driveway.
There's a pump shed for our well at the bottom of our driveway. We have a large Tupperware box next to that shed for FedX and UPS parcels. It has a red flag to be flipped outside the lid when there is a parcel.
If a parcel is too large for the box, the driver puts it next to the shed out of visibility from the road and puts the flag outside the box so that we'll notice. But if it's raining or expected to rain, the driver will bring parcels up to our house and put them on our roofed front porch/deck if they won't fit in the box at the bottom of the driveway.
There is a U. S. Postal Service approve bank of locking mailboxes for the residences on our street. It also has four lockers for large parcels. It's at the end of our street, almost a mile from my door. So I drive down every day or every other day for my mail. If there is a parcel, the delivery driver puts a key for one of the lockers (they are numbered) in our mailbox so that I can open the locker and get my parcel.
On occasion, there is a box that's too large for any of the lockers, so the delivery driver puts a card in our mail box to say there is a package at the post office. Our rural post office is about five miles away and is not busy or crowded, so it's easy to stop by and get a package.
Not a thing in my country, packages have to be delivered directly into the recipient's hands (and confirmed by signature).
GLS/UPS/DHL will all email, text or call you to ask when you will be available, otherwise they won't deliver.
Whereas the lazy dolts from the post office, they will just dump a note in your mailbox letting you know that you can come to pick your shit up at the post office.
Either next to the door. Or I have a screen door so if it fits they put it behind that.
Wherever there is water. I feel like sometimes he brings rain with the packages.

I have all deliveries made to my home address during business hours and then my reeptionist can receive and sign for the packages.
They are supposed to leave it in the Porch.
however had a huge argument with Amazon as they kept leaving it with neighbours.
Called them up and complained, eventually chatted to a bloody supervisor.
I asked why deliveries where being left with neighbours when it clearly said Leave in Porch.
He got back to me and said the delivery guy said he could only see a BMW and a VW
Very nice picture. 😁
Unless there are explicit instructions for the postman, it depends on size. In the US, we have mailboxes, so if the parcel is small enough to fit in the mailbox (a box of condoms, for example), that's where it's left. Otherwise, when it's too big for the mailbox ( a year's supply of bottles of lube, for example), it's left just outside our kitchen door in our carport.
For many people, packages are left on their front porch, as shown in the picture.
I'm usually in so they hand them to me.
If I'm not in what doesn't go through the letterbox might get left with a neighbor or taken back to the sorting office and an out card left.
Oh and there is number 6 on the next street they keep mixing up with my address so sometimes there we swap post some times 😂😂😂😂
i live in an mit sized appartment building, so usually they give it to some neighbor. funny thing is: i got something that was obviously a dildo before for another (male) neighbor xD. i mean it didn't say on the parcel but it was litterally just black plastic bag around a phallic object. i don't think it was a dog toy, cause they don't have a dog.
She usually leaves the mail on a plastic chair on the porch. If the packages are small enough to go on the chair, they go there, too. If they're too big for that, she just sets them on the porch near the chair.
In my development we have a mailbox area & if the parcels don’t fit in the mailbox the carrier will leave a key in my mailbox to a parcel locker where I can pickup bigger parcels.
The Post Office will leave large parcels on my doorstep, while UPS and FedEx will leave them at the clubhouse office, which is what I prefer.
They leave it at my neighbour's but because I'm good at least my close neighbours there has never been a problem
I've got a box on my porch to the side of my front door, so they stick it in my box!
The post office usually. Can't always get down my road to deliver it
I live in the country. The front door is never locked.
depends whose delivering them and what mood they are in.
It depends. The USPO leaves it on the ground next to the mailbox post. UPS and FEDEX leave it on my back porch/
I have a porch box not for theft but weather protection
Thats not the discreet packaging they advertised 😂😂
Outdoor and took pictures.
Before COVID wait for door open.
Occasionally she did not bother to wear any thing and just opened the door.
We have a sign on our front door telling the postman not to leave any parcels in front of our door. We've had other people in our community take/steal them from us.
mostly here in the uk the postman will not leave then at all unless told to do so! we have a card left then go to town to get them!!!
I get a card left in my box & I go pick it up at the post office,
My postman is either just old and lazy or just a jerk he/she always leaves my parcels at my neighbors lmao
On the stoop usually but most things I have to have signed for if it’s too valuable
Usually in the mail box, unless the package is too big. Then its left at the front door.
Always at the front door
they give you a quick doorbell ring and then they haul ass
Have him leave it on the doorstep or in a special box. Which can be locked.
they take it to the post office
Usually up the back passage
Lol i would never order anything when I'm not home
I have a parcel box for that
In my green recycle bin round the back
On the steps.
no such thing here
front step
Out in the opening
