Where Do You Have Your Parcels Delivered, To Your Home Address, Or To A Secure Locker, Or Somewhere Else?

Question

I prefer to go to the shops for anything I want to buy, but sometimes I need to use the Internet, and I make sure I'm available at home for the delivery.

This means I have to use my holidays from work, or time off to stay at home, perhaps all day waiting for my parcel.

There seems a better way, and that is parcels are left in secure lockers in convenient locations for the customers to collect at a suitable time.

Have you used this system?

We have stuff delivered to our home address.

I live in a rural area off of a private road and live on a hill up a 1/2 mile driveway on 30 acres. My neighborhood has a bank of secure mailboxes at the end of the street that also have large boxes for parcels. I unlock my mailbox with a key and sometimes there is a key in it with the number of the lockbox where there is a parcel. Everything is very secure.
I drive down to the mailboxes every couple of days. With my driveway, it's almost a mile each direction.

For stuff that is delivered by other than USPS, I have a large Tupperware box at the bottom of my driveway behind the pump shed for my well, not visible from the street. There is a flag that the delivery driver hangs out when there is a parcel. But we usually get notifications when a parcel has been delivered.

We have never had anything stolen.

Every once in a while, a driver will come up our driveway to deliver to out door.

I have a cabinet with a smart lock that Amazon can unlock with their app, so most packages end up there when someone isn't home. I also have a gauntlet of cameras, motion detectors, and a dog. I haven't really had problems in many years, but I do make sure someone will be home if I am receiving something expensive or too big for the cabinet, which is rare.

I have them delivered to my home address but I live in the middle of nowhere and they often can't find me or , in winter, don't want to come down the driveway , so, my stuff usually gets left at the post office anyways.

Depends who's delivering the package fed ex and ups drop it off at my door where usps I have to go to them and and hope it's in a lock box if not I go to the lobby and reserve it

I rent a postbox, it's only a small amount per month. I can get everything delivered there, they have staff to receive the parcels during office hours. I get an instant confirmation message and can pick it up anytime I like, the same day, the day after or even a week after if I'm not in town or abroad. Works perfectly fine.

I just give authority to leave. The odds of random products in boxes being stolen are pretty long... I guess living in a leafy cul de sac helps a little. Even if a $100 product were stolen in the context of $20000 of stuff dropped in a year it's immaterial.

I have parcels delivered to my work address during normal work hours. Nothing is left outside and I am not bothered by porch pirates.

We have some of our parcels delivered to a secure locker located in our mailroom, at our retirement community apartment complex. Other parcels are delivered outside of our front door, where we think that some of them may have been stolen
