Car vibrating only between 50-70mph. Low tire tread cause?

I have a 2012 mazda 3 I haven't used for 2 years and started using it again after getting brakes and oil and battery replaced but I noticed car vibrates heavily in around the 50-70 mph range most then dies off if I'm slower or faster. My tire tread depth is quite low and I'm about to replace my tires and I just wanted to confirm would replacing my tires fix this or is it something else. Could it be alignment or bearing related too or simply the tires? Also I'm getting them replaced at a costco and wondering do they do other alignment and balancing checks when installing tires? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well - it's a Mazda :D

After two years of not moving - especially when tyre pressure was low - it is possible that they are a bit de-formed.
Before replacing them, you can have them checked for balance

But as the profile is down, you'll want a replacement anyway.
Sometimes a worn out suspension or spoilt rubber dampers can cause vibrations as well. But you'd have noticed that two years ago already, I'd say.
Lastly: check the boot. Perhaps it's Grandma who signals that she wants to get out :)

Most likely tires, especially if it was fine before it sat for awhile. Could be any number of things, out of balance, uneven tread, could even be a bent rim. Since you need tires anyway I would start with that. Anywhere you buy tires should balance them before they install them.

It was starting to do it a bit right before I stopped driving it.

It *could* be the tires being out of balance if you are lucky since this is easily fixed. Make sure the shop balances them when you replace them. If this doesn't solve the problem, and I think it will, then have it aligned. If still does not solve the problem, check for loose or worn suspension components and replace them as needed.

If the car sits in one place for a long time, the tires could be permanently flat-spotted. Replacing the tires is a good idea.

it could be alignment or a front end component (ball joints, tie rods etc)

Sounds like the tires, they do balance the tires at Costco but not alignments
