This girl complains about everything. I mean everything, and she likes me but I have a feeling after inventory she won't as much 😂
So if she starts up her whining what should I do?
patience... and tolerance
because she likes you already
could be much worse if she were a dummy that also dislikes you, lol
and yes, trying to distract her from complaining could be a good idea... sometimes I just change the subject and start to talk about weird stuff, not creepy just weird facts... lol
for example that company that offers you to turn cremated dead bodies into an ocean reef... or I just bring up the topic about ghosts and spirits, if the rooms are darker or very quiet with no other people
anything that will make them forget about complaining
Have a one-on-one talk with her.
Remember, she's not your friend, but be professional.
Try asking if she's ok, how does she feel about the work, the workplace, the co-workers, you, and so on.
Never start with "You know, you complain a lot. If you don't like it here, leave" attitude.
It gives a premise that you are not approachable, whereas, as a supervisor/manager, it's your job to talk to people you supervise/manage.
I already did. She denied having a problem with anything and acted completely fine
If you think she really does not have outside factors, setup an improvement plan.
The way we do it is we give 1-2 months of plan for improvements, basically like goals that the employee needs meet and to do so consistently. A review will be done once in the middle and one on the end and/or when the employee has requested feedback.
If the employee fails, sadly, we usually let them go.
Okay, but did you really have to make to post calling the poor girl a dumbass? She never insulted you. Imagine how she'd feel, if she read this. Talking about people behind their back?
If you have a problem with her behavior, talk to an HR manager, the owner of the or I don't know, whoever is in charge there
LMAO
Honey, she's insulted me, and several other employees from the first week she got there. I was trying to keep my post short so I didn't include her whole background. Answer the question or mind your own damn business
Don’t say anything, and just listen. 🥴🥴🥴
After awhile, she will probably keep quiet…lol

I'd say B, as "bribing" someone to try and do their job sets a dangerous precedent.
Offer some coaching, but then make it clear that she has to focus on the task at hand.
Can you issue disciplinary action?
Yes.
Next time she whines @ ya, stop in your tracks, look her straight in the eye and ask.. "Did we get married without my knowledge?"
It's amazing how powerful a line like that can be in a situation like yours.
You don't have the power to fire. So you get the milk shakes working.
You don't know my position 😂 just because I said I got "stuck" supervising her doesn't mean I'm not able to fire her. Also, I never said anything about firing her. I have every power to put my foot down and tell her to quit complaining.
Just remember that you are getting paid to do this.
And? What does this have to do with anything? I'm in charge of several people in this store, I know how to be professional. I can choose how I want to handle it and I gave two options.
What if she is in here and sees this question?
I hope she does.
