How do I conduct myself more professionally at work when dealing with idiots?

I'm usually a very calm patient person at work but I work with so many idiots it gets to a boiling point and I end up snapping at certain people usually deserved.

It's just I worry I'll get labelled immature, loud, bitch etc. Unfortunately I feel I have to be immature back because that's the only way these people will understand that they've pissed me off

I'm kinda embarrassed about how I handle myself in situations sometimes but it gets to a point were I can't control it anymore and the anger takes over. My month runs quicker than my head

I totally understand where you’re coming from. When I’m pushed to the brink at work and want to blow up, whether by a colleague or a customer, I step out for a few minutes to calm down. I have to remind myself it’s hard to look for another job and whatever caused me to get mad isn’t worth me getting fired over. However, if you can’t stand it any more, it may be time to look for another job. But remember, no matter where you go, there will always be someone there who’s idiotic.

I know what you mean. In some teams or departments you just get the occasional clown or assclown, who wants to turn every meeting into a stage for his "funny" personality. It's best not to get baited and just follow through with the agenda. Even if you have to repeatedly insist to the others with "could we get back to the topic xyz".

Idiots are everywhere & some people are amazingly stupid & some people are proof that evolution is moving in reverse. As for those jokers in the workplace let them do their thing & you do your thing & life is good.
