My boss isn’t a good supervisor?

I work in the house keeping department. And it’s 4 of us. 2 got promoted me and the other person didn’t.

The two that got promoted clocks each other in and out even when they aren’t in the building. They work overtime and instead of actually working they sit. My boss doesn’t work overtime so he doesn’t know.

They stay back for extra hours and chill and relax. I just don’t understand how they got promoted. They do their work and have a great work ethic but they also steal company time. They leave on break without clocking out i feel like he is favoriting them

Maybe he doesn't know. Or he could be getting something from them in exchange. 🤔 But let's go on the premise that he doesn't know. Maybe a "little bird" should tell him. If he finds out and does nothing, then maybe the latter is true too. Is there anyone higher than your boss that could also find out what is going on? Where did that little bird go? You may need its services again.

i'd interrogate all 4 of them and the past girls that were let go, fired, left at will or any other means of termination of employment.

At the end of the day the boss is still in charge and makes the hard decisions for a reason. He must see potential in them, or they would not have gotten the promotion. I suggest being happy for them and working hard to show your boss you have what it takes to be promoted as well.
