Well in so many different ways we all need to hear that once in awhile because it's our reaction it makes us who we are either we stay calm and collect and we think about it inside and you have to understand just because one person says that doesn't mean anything but what means something is how you handle it you know better so you have to let them have their opinion it doesn't mean to this true or is it is even right it's okay to have that happen because you grow from it if you do it in the right way

I work hard on something for myself and if people don't like it then that's not changing anything. My grandma don't like my hair long and I work hard on it but It's my life it's now or never but I ain't gonna live forever.
Yes, but it's not like I didn't know. Many an acrylic painting that I've spent hours on with no luck. Finally show it to someone and they're like "Hm, for all the time you put into this, I thought it would've looked better..."
Well, no shit! I did too! That's why I spent so much time on it!
Yes has happened. It is really kind of a let down.

Oh constantly, that's one of the joys of parenting. They are the most greedy, ungrateful existences you will ever encounter. Still and all, I love them, so even when I say then don't play with it, eat it, whatever, still stings.
It usually isn't an issue until right after a visit to either one of their grandma and grandpas though lolYeah kinda. I remember when I found some free vst instruments in the past. They didn't sound great but I enjoyed messing around with them since I'd never done it before. When I was done, I sent my friend (at the time) a little clip of the sound to show them how cool it sounded. But I was met with them just saying how the melody sounded kinda generic & it didn't sound like a real intrument. 💀
I've worked my butt off in poor weather and had people tell me my work was "f******* terrible" I didn't say anything mean in return I just thought, "This isn't for you."
There's always something to be said for the audience you're trying to reach with your work. If you make the best horror movie in history and the person you show it to hates the horror genre, they still aren't going to enjoy it. It's not for them. That is so liberating as a creative, focus on your tribe and the rest can find something else to entertain themselves with.Yeah basically every time I paint a Warhammer 40k model and show someone online.
My hands are built to destroy shit, painting fine details is hard lol.
My recent attempt at building a desk is turning out pretty fucked too, because I have only very basic tool and no good working surface. I also changed from the western hand saws I grew up using to a very thin Japanese saw, and while it cuts pretty easily, I'm always cutting at odd angles with it despite my best efforts. Might have something to do with the very flexible blade?
In any case, it's good to finish things even if they're not perfect.Yess.
In one of my course projects.
I worked hard for it. She gave me 6 out of 10.
Now I know how much I will be getting, I did not work that hard for her subject's course project this time. She was like, are you going to complete this course project or not? And I was like, I don't know.
Of course I did not say it, but my body language told her all about it. I think...The other way round:
I work hard to visualize the expectations of our customers (3-D-''design'' of yacht projects) - and I absolutely loathe the way it looks like according to their ''taste'' (sic!) :D
I do have situations when ''little boss'' doesn't like what I draw up; which then is a challenge to me to make it looking worse.
That way we all have an income... heh heh :DFor sure, I'm a game developer. Gamers aren't known to be kind and mindful. It also involves a lot of prototyping. I'm a programmer, I take a design and make it work. I don't make the design. In the end, if the design is shit, no matter how awesome of a job I do, people will shit on it.
Yes... every time i drop a video.
My previous one is still getting hate off of it. Not because it doesn't look good because I used audio from a great movie for one of my "Character cast". :) there's a reason i don't exist.- u
yes... lol
"it works, though..." that's what I said I worked hard one time when I was extremely drunk trying to get my penis hard. I failed miserably. Poor mini-me had no chance and the girl ghosted me.
It happens to everyone sooner or later.
She didn't explicitly say that it didn't look good, but she started critiquing my finished artwork, as usual. But that's to be expected from my grandmother.
Yep, few years back I worked hard and got slim, only for my mum to tell me that I look sickly coz of my face. I was about 10kg over underweight.
No. It always looks good. And they agree when I’m done convincing them. 😁
Yeah, I’ve experienced something similar to this in my life.
Mostly by people that don't know how it's supposed to look in the first place.
I have worked on something that I thought didn't look that good but no one has been that honest with me I don't think
Yes, actually once. However, his comments are insignificant
I don’t think I ever worked hard on anything in my life lol
Yeah; my entire life.
