2. Genuine Benchmade Bugout 535-3 Carbon Fiber
They're both very nice. Having said that, I have a (factory production, not custom) Bugout. Why?
1. I prefer the drop-point blade to the clip-point of the Pena. The tip is stronger and it fits my use cases better.
2. The Bugout is designed to be extremely lightweight, and that was a priority in my selection for a knife that I carried a lot.
3. I have a bunch of Benchmades, including a few customs, and I have confidence in their steel and hardening processes. Several decades of use - including some outright abuse - has proven to me that I can rely on them. I don't have any personal experience with the Pena - I'm sure it's great too - but personal experience counts a lot.
4. I can't see what kind of lock the Pena has, but the Benchmade Axis lock is one of the best there is.
Thanks for actually answering my question. Do you think the bugout knife could be an everyday carry knife for most things. Like if you need to cut open boxes or removing staples or cutting off tags or whatever it is. Just a daily tools used for whatever you come across. Like a drill is intended for drilling holes but can also be used for screwing in screws if you don’t have an impact driver. Sorry if I’m not making sense.
I use mine as an EDC (every day carry) and mine definitely has tape glue on it, so, sure. Of course, any knife you carry and use like that will take damage, so I'm not sure a custom ($$$) is necessary for that, but if you want to use it for that, go for it. I'm plenty happy with my production version, though.
The grips on these especially the second one look a little slick, and that's definitely a no-go.
I've never used a Pena knife but I carried a Benchmade through deployment and later on at work. The blades are very good quality and hold up to (reasonable) abuse.

I like the first one better. Personally though I prefer to go mid range, you're going to use it and it's going to wear and break. Don't want to feel too bad replacing it.
For a daily tool get a Leatherman wave
I have had a Benchmade for years. I use it every day and have been very satisfied with it. You can't go wrong with Benchmade.
I like butterfly knife to play around with them but you can get cut by that it’s happened before
What purpose is it for?
Daily tool. Water it’s for cutting something or whatever. Just a daily tool.
Depends on what you would be using it for.
Just a high quality daily tool meant for everything with cutting or what you would use a knife for. Your traveling tool
what shenanigans are you up to
Read the message I sent to the other guy. Why in the world would I spend $310.00 on a knife that I was going to do shenanigans with. If that was the case I would just go to the dollar tree and get a knife.
First, I’m not rich my parents make about $40,000 a year and I only make about 8k a year. I buy quality things that will last me years and years or my whole life. Not wast money on anime Mats that will fall apart in a couple months.
Plus just like you assumed I was Rick I could assume your a 19 year old guy that doesn’t have a job, plays video games all day, watches anime for hours on end, doesn’t have a girlfriend, and lives in there parents basement and smokes weed. We can stereotype people or just answer someone’s question.
No I never had. I don’t want anime or game
I do productive stuff with my life.
I don’t know, your mother didn’t tell you.
Thanks cuz you don’t got none, p*ssy.
It just gets better each time
Bro, loser. Look at you. I just named like 8 things.
Middle to lower class yeah. Still pull more bitches than you. I also invest my money wisely. In the end will get more profit than you and your anime toy figures.
Nah that’s not true either. When I got in a car accident when I was 10 I got about 18k from the crash because of the injuries. Now I have that as well. I have more money than your broke ass. The real poor one without a fathers you bro.
Bro I own my own car and drive everywhere. I’m at work now on lunch for 20 minutes. I drove here. I choose to be a safe driver. Not some pervert who watches 16 year old girls through his car window and runs about every stop light he sees
I always knew you were full of shit
Hate to be fatherfigure... but what are you up to?
I’m not up to anything bro. A knife is a useful tool. I have a bellroy keycase with a Victorinox Swiss Army knife which I use often for opening boxes were I work.
So a knife would be easier for that. It’s also just fun to wittle with and can be used for a lot of useful thing.
I prefer the grip on the Benchmade
