Have you ever thought sexual harassment won’t happen to you when you’re a child?

I was very naive thinking only much older men will target me when I was a child but I didn’t expect a boy the same age as me to harass me for 2 years in elementary school. I saw him again in college but I took another route instead thankfully he wasn’t in the same class as me anymore.

Somewhat. I knew it was common, but I thought that if something WERE to happen, it would be when I was in my 20's. Not early teens. I've learned from it. I still struggle with it. Thank you unfortunately this had to happen to me. The scariest part was the harassment was two years not just a short while. I was too scared to tell anyone that’s why I kept it to myself.

I'm so sorry. That is awful. No one should ever go through this. And for two years straight is horrifying. I am so sorry. I completely understand. I am only opening upening up about a predator who was going after me, and he continuous harassment. It's really scary. But you got this. Never let it bring you down. I think it’s my fault, if I pretended to like him he will leave me alone just like he left those girls alone who had crushes on him. He was very respectful to them but not me.

Hear me out for a moment. My ex was a pedophile who sexually assaulted me. Is it my fault that he did that? No. His actions are on him. You could tell me that it's not my fault because he was the perpetrator. But there was certainly things I could've done to stop it from happening, such as not dating him. The same goes for you. You are not at fault for someone else's actions. that is on him. You could've pretended to like him, but it wouldn't take away the type of person he is. Someone might like him and date him and not know the full truth. But you are aware of the type of person he is. You can protect others who are around him and don't know. You could have done things differently, but he would still be a horrible person. Don't let this affect you. Succeed in life and let his low life self witness it. You deserve better.

No, he wouldn't go to jail for it, even if you were to report it. I guess it all depends on the type of evidence you have. If he has a clean slate and all he done was make sexual comments, he will most probably get a criminal record. If there is no proof, there isn't much that can be done. However, don't let it beat you down. There is more to life than him. Don't let him even have a role in your life anymore. One day karma will get him. What you need is to save money, travel the world, get the career you want, find a partner if you want that, and go have fun. trust me, I am reliving the hell of what my ex made me do. The one thing I wish for now is to get away and have fun. Life is too short to let some low life control it

When I was 10, I first met him in class but after I showed no sign of crush on him. He tried to get my attention, I remembered him “accidentally” bump into me and apologised. He told me I was cute but I told him I wasn’t interested in him. I met him again when I was 12 years old which was my final year in elementary school. It got worst from there… He made sexual comments about me, flirts with me many times and even tried to seduce me. I was so scared I didn’t dare to report to the teacher or tell anyone about it. Now I’m very disappointed in myself for not saying anything.

I have seen girls who try to talk to him a lot, he only replied respectful, there was no harassment, no flirting at all. He considered those crushing on him as only friends. I was very shocked when he treated me differently compared to how he treated those girls. The way he talked to me, it was very disrespectful.

He was popular among the girls and boys but mostly among girls. I had no one to talk to about how he treated me because I was at a disadvantage. He was extremely cunning at a very young age but I didn’t let him affect my studies if I do so I will lose. I only get very frightened when he approached me to talk. I was very pissed when he even tried to talk to the teacher to sit beside me. He will be able to touch me inappropriately if he do so. Thankfully the teacher didn’t let him as she said he needs to sit beside someone who was a smart student in class since his grades were really bad. Of course when the teacher was not around and the person who sat beside me was absent he took the chance to sit beside me.

When I was 12, there was a video shown by a teacher about sexual harassment at the school hall. It was about a perverted middle age man touching the young boy inappropriately, everyone was laughing. But when he did the same thing to a girl everyone wasn’t laughing. The teacher asked the students what’s so funny about boys getting molested. I really didn’t like it when they laughed as I can fully understood what the boy went through even though it’s only a scripted video. I hated it when people don’t take men or boy’s experience seriously.
