That was one of the few movies where me and my friend were rooting for the killer. The ending was he framed her back for the murders. He knocked her out, put the killer costume on her and made it look like he was defending his girlfriend (the nice girl that said maybe later) against the killer by shooting her several times.

Honestly, I'm not sure if that would worked nowadays. The boy's parents would've filed for defamation too.
Anyways the horror movie (fictitious off course) had a good ending though:
In revenge, he killed all those girls that rejected him badly and testified against him (agreed with the false allegation made) except the nice girl that said ''Maybe later''. He kept the nice girl as a girlfriend and got his wish of dancing with her later as adult.
He framed that lying Dorothy character for all the murders, knocking her out with a punch and dressing her up under the killer costume... making everyone think she's the killer.
