They are less severe toward Christians then Christians were toward non-Christians or even other Christians in the middle ages and early America. Joan of Arc, the Spanish inquisitions, and the Salem witch trials are examples.

@DWornock I realize Muslims are often violent and I am not justifying that murder. However, they murders they compete is small stuff compared to the murders committed by the USA in Iraq and Afghanistan and the USA is called a Christian nation. We murder more but, Muslims are worse in other things. I read the book, "Desert Flower." I was appalled reading about the female genital mutilation Waris Dirie suffered at age 5. That's horrible. I was also appalled reading that for 5 camels, her father sold her into marriage to a man old enough to be her grandfather. Thankfully, her mother helped run away. It is like girls and women, even family members, are treated like slaves.
