She was a young 16 year old Christian girl who's parents worked (struggling financially) for Carnival selling soda, hotdogs etc and went on to travel to the east coast with the company temporary to make money and left Sylvia at a Sylvia's new "friends" <<<<Devils home she recently met at school along with her younger sister.
The father of Sylvia assuming since the woman who he was leaving his daughters with had 3 or 4 girls of her own close to Sylvia's age and 1 year old baby, thought his daughter was safe as the woman told him she will take care of her as she was one of her daughter's for $20 a week.
Little did he know his precious sweet and naive daughter will subjected to horrid and disgusting abuse and torture in a basement by the woman, her daughters and other neighborhood teens, finally dying as a result.
I was watching a movie on Netflix named Girl Next Door but I didn't know it was based on a true story.

The pain and hell she went through is just unspeakable.
Sylvia by all accounts was a darling of a sweetheart, her only problem she was extremely gullible and unwise.
Sylvia's suffered the following before dying:
- Dehydration
- Starvation
- Beatings
- Sexually abused
- Forced to eat vomit
- Severe burnings to her body
- Lacerations
- Tied up in awkward positions to cause her physical pain
- Forced fed feces into her mouth
