I was thinking about it, after my dad was shaking his head about rap music when I was showing him who Griselda were before I went to their concert a few weeks ago😂, and he had said “I don’t know how you listen to this. Music is supposed to be uplifting!” First off, pops…FALSE. Music is art, and art doesn’t “have to be” anything. Some songs are happy, some are sad, some are intense, some are mellow…there’s room for all of it, it’s just about what matches our various vibes. And as I thought on it, I think my favorite quality in a song is that it’s “menacing” lmao. In some senses, or maybe in some moods, I want my music to say to others “miiiiiight not want to fuck with this guy”, lmao. That’s not to say I live like gangsta rappers do, or claim to, but I do like to carry an air of “this is what I’m doing, it shouldn’t be a problem for anyone else, and anyone else who DOES have a problem with it, it might be best to keep that to yourself lest I slap the shit outta you.”😂 Nothing super in-your-face, just a gentle suggestion that I might be an aggressive person who you might just want to quietly let go about his business. Try that shit on the guy listening to throwback John Denver lmfao.
So, it’s mostly hip-hop that gives this desired effect, but can venture into some hard rock like Rage Against The Machine, Pantera, Deftones, some of the less mainstream Korn songs (excluding Blind, that’s a fuckin’ BANGER), etc. For the record, though, I also like pop punk from the 00s, so it’s also entirely possible you might see me driving around and think “what a pussy”😂😂😂
Anyway, the hip hop that I think really gets me going in that way is either a low, threatening tone or something with heavy pomp. Obviously the lyrics will play a role too, but there are certain songs that just have a sound, or maybe just a great hook, and it just gets you HYPE. I think of some of the old pre-game music I would play when I was still playing football, I was the “music guy” in the locker room. Back then, I was heavy into Dipset, little Wayne (can’t wait to see if GAG still makes me look like a dork and automatically changes l-i-l to “little”🙄🤦♂️) was huge, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy. Those guys all had stuff like that.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/HVO5WhIm4uIThat’s probably about my limit, but all that shit makes me feel ten feet tall when I hear it…

Yup, I got dorked. Hey @GirlsAskGuys …just a friendly suggestion: the young whippersnappers listen to all sorts of musical artists with “L-i-L” in their names, and GAG has always changed it to “little” automatically, and it would make us look way less like geeks if that wasn’t a thing. No one listens to “Little Wayne” or “Little Baby.” Not a huge deal, just sending it across the desk.
🤣 I remember @joker_ somehow got it to say L-i-L but I have no idea how he did it.
Lmao, that’s some sorcery right there. GAG got me out here sounding like my dad, talking about Snoopy Dog, and 50 Cents, plural🤦♂️😂

OH SHIIIIIT
I wrapped https://emptycharacter.com/ around the word lil
exactly
Here's a few random ones from my Playlist :
https://www.youtube.com/embed/7VK9RrUQ7T4https://www.youtube.com/embed/SFLSOIufuhMhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/V5M2WZiAy6khttps://www.youtube.com/embed/4tvZVNqPXvshttps://www.youtube.com/embed/JT02-Lzg-CANice! All of them fit the vibe. I especially like the first two!
👍👍
@MCheetah son : why do they keep chanting " you suck "?
Father : it's because they love him
🤣🤣🤣
This may sound weird coming from a girl but the music that makes me feel godlike is hard rock / heavy metal music. My favourite bands are:
Disturbed, Nickelback, Skillet, Linkin Park, Five Finger Death Punch, Saliva, Drowning Pool, Shindown, Three Doors Down, 3 Days Grace, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Thousand Foot Krutch
But I also have a guilty pleasure from Ariana Grande and Britney Spears.
I guess to me it doesn't sound weird since I've encountered many females who say they like it.
There are too many but here is one
https://www.youtube.com/embed/hsXeFqj5p7QIt's got a nice growl! I always love that sound
Oh that's perfect! Enjoy!
Thanks! 🙏
Ooh I love that!

Shit, I forgot about the Killer Mike/T. I. version of this song, I think I just have the other remix with Cam and Jada. Might have to listen to some old school Tip today, haha.

Halo Combat evolved theme song.
The said genre that gives me this feeling changes from time to time.
I HATE the lyrics but I bet guy feels like a rockstar lol... the beat is nice, ... this song surely make some guys feel powerful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBugnmrF3G8
why the worse lyrics have such good beats? ... I think some women may feel powerful in some romantic sense with this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk7shSx_Bng
0:52 seconds into the last one is best.
I'm a similar way when it comes to lyrics. Like many times I wish the producers would upload the instrumental versions like 20syl & AllttA does
Once in a while we can get instrumentals
By instrumental I don't appreciate the one that removes the instrument of the lyircs... meaning is another instrument covers the voice... often the voice has a vital beat to the song...
I mainly like instrumentals. But usually darker sounding stuff without a buildup. Stuff like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSb_31SUEXE
Hmmm.. no buildup... just flat? That sounds like it could get monotonous... Lorn is pretty good, unique sounds.. I would say their is some build there... layers prevent it from being monotonous... perhaps you mean ""non-dramtic"" builds? maybe check out FKA TWIGS two different songs tw-ache and ache.. etc..
Ahh yeah, that is a better way of saying it. I don't often listen to the dramatic buildups but I do like a few songs with them.
And that's pretty crazy how I've been recommended that artist recently twice through different sites. 🤣 last time it was because I asked Reddit if anyone knew any breathy or soft singers like the girl in this one from 0:09 to 2:40
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3zt8oI5Vkg
So recommended twice, never checked? lol
Oh yeah, I checked her out. That's how I remembered due to seeing her album when I just typed in her name on spotify. But her music isn't my type though. I'm pretty picky.
Ahh okay. There is never an artist whom I like all their songs. Usuually I have only one favourite... and rarely I have a few favourites from the same artist.
Yeah, same with me for the most part. Do you know your favorite genres? I might know some you may like.
Lol. I'm also picky.. I like all genres... the fact that I sometimes have only one favourite song from a whole artist makes it all the more random to find the right one... i guess I tend to like middle eastern melancholy... and I also like dance music... so like bipolar music taste haha
IT helps listening to foreign music... foreign language.. widens my options... for example Hercai Müzikleri - Kalp Ağrısı V2
Ahh okay, I see. Yeah, your music taste must be even pickier than mine! Because I just checked & I apparently have over 250 artists with folders containing multiple of their songs (adding up to around 1,944 songs of the 2,721 total). Way more than I thought 🤔
Though I don't have many foreign-sounding songs, you might like one of christopher tins:
Christopher Tin - Hamsafar
Christopher Tin - Baba Yetu
Christopher Tin - Dao Zai Fan Ye (feat. Jia Ruhan)
Cool. I'll try it out. I actually like at least one song with the name Baba in it... sound like it would be spiritual hehe, I'll see. Thanks
🤣 holy crap you're good. I would have never known based on the title!
😀 lol
There is a band at Youtube, their name is NEFFEX
Their better songs are:
And my favorite
https://www.youtube.com/embed/0Wa_CR0H8g4There are many more, but those are best known
The song you posted was pretty solid. 😎
For me I’d say stuff by AK, Michael FK, Koda, M4SONIC, Blackmill, Veorra etc
Thanks! & I'll def check those out soon
Of course! Hope you enjoy.
Just checked it out & I really like the style of the first 3 artists! Thanks for the recs!
Thankfully, NOTHING fuels a God complex in me!! That would be dangerous. There's too much music that moves me in too many different ways, but this one always jacks me up:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/bGG2Gy7hh7URight now. I'm into club music. It reminds me of my teenhood/late childhood days from the 90's to early 2000's.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/1KrBAVN7FpwI wouldn't say it makes me feel God-like, that's too arrogant to say lol. It just makes me feel good because it reminded me of more innocent, fun days of the time.
When I'm feeling down this little ditty right here brings back the alpha in me:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/4zIoElk3r2cThat's right bitches... mess with me now.
We all thank you for your input sir Ballsack
This song helped me through a really rough time. It is about tenacity and resilience.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/8uirXFig0IQThis lady Gaga song G. U. Y. it's literally about her pegging someone while being a bad bitch slayqueen
I only use binaural beats, don't have a specific track.
One thing i know is that we adapt to music we listen to often enough. Sometimes the adaptation makes it more potent than the first time you heard it, sometimes it stops working on you.
I specifically listen to music that makes me feel powerless
oh because you're too powerful on your own & are trying to nerf yourself?
that's very considerate of you
currently listening to the bridge of this song https://youtu.be/BQ057Da-0I8
I feel pretty powerful listening to that
I- think you just gave me another life.
God?
Father God we thank you for this meal & hope that you bless us with your grace before we eat this here meal father God. Even though it's filled with saturated fats & salt, we ask that you let it nourish our bodies father God. In joker name. Amen.

Okay me too but that man was aiming to kill!
oh u aim to annihilate 👄
This is a good example of it. Because I am fiercely independent, have a take no BS attitude and have never ran from a fight.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/OuFba4XhCNgElectroswing is probably not a popular choice but i absolutely love it. Especially if it has a sinister vibe. I've never seen myself as a hero and as a person mostly seen as weird by the whole of society the villainous music is always amazing for me.
The brown noise.🤣
