Before you answer I suggest you will look up what a "scientific theory" is. Because it doesn't mean what you think it does. Here is a hint... No hypothesis in science can ever gain a bigger status than the one of "Theory".

Sure do. And I'd point out that there IS a bigger status thas "theory", namely "disproven theor- dammit", like Lamarck's work, with regard to Pox genes, or Galileo's theories.

The biggest example, though, would probably be Robert Goddard, who was laughed out of academia for suggesting that a ship could travel in space, where there's nothing to push against, and then "Houston, the Eagle has landed", which elevated his work to tme status of "theory of kiss my ass, Roosevelt".

Belief is absolutely nothing what so ever to do with this.

The wording isn't the important part, it is the mountain of data which supports the theory which matters.

Also a hypothesis doesn't mean anything at all, anyone can have a hypothesis about anything at anytime time.

I had a hypothesis earlier today that there was an angry aligator inside my asshole but on closer examination of the evidence it seems more likely that I ate too much spicy chicken.

That confused me because the book "The Origin of Species" talks about evolution. Or you weren't talking about the book?

Darwinian evolution is 100% fact. He got a few things wrong but for the most part the has completely correct. He even said that for his hypothesis to be proven we should find a fossil of a hybrid bird dinosaur. Well during his lifetime we did. Archaeopteryx.

Do you know what a scientific theory is?
An hypothesis only gets to the status of "Theory" after it was proven over and over. After peer review. After all evidences were considered. After all the attempts to debunk failing.
Today the theory of evolution has more evidence than the theory of gravity.
