Since the term "evolution" is so strongly associated with the particles-to-people myth, it's more useful to employ the word "speciation" to explain adaptation and variation within the created kinds, such as that exhibited by the finches. Because the small-scale changes generally lead to a loss of genetic information rather than a gain of new information needed to create new traits like arms and eyes, microevolution can never lead to macroevolution. Evolutionists tend to use these ideas interchangeably. Speciation is within created kinds (which we can observe and verify) and molecules-to-man evolution (which is unobservable and unverifiable).

As for me I believe in a lot of things & I believe in evolution as well. Nowadays when it comes to evolution I also believe some people are proof evolution is moving in reverse.

@strateguy632 It isn't fast but genetic mutations are seen over time and provably so. I think it is in Florida but some lizards are being observed mutating currently because they are facing new competition. Last common ancestor was about 4.2 bill years ago so there has time.

@strateguy632 So foxes, wild dogs and wolves don't have a common ancestor? And humans, chimps and gorillas don't have a common ancestor? There seems similar morphology between these groups but there are a different number of chromosomes in the first of each to the rest.

There are many examples of the same form evolving so it is possible. If it is just chromosomes than humans are more related to olives than we are to chimps. I do see a creation answer to this.

Would you think wild dogs a and domestic dogs were just created differently with wolves even more differently? Or would you think those three became different over time just as we have selected dogs with different characteristics for different purposes?

Does creation allow for species to change after their creation? I have never thought on that so I would like to have your view.

If you knew about sexual reproduction you would notice dogs can't possibly have a "common" ancetor.
No geneticist would say they believed evolution unless their career was threatened!

@strateguy632 I am unclear on what you are saying. This maned wolf has a different number of chromosomes to foxes and wolves/dogs. Are you saying that these three cannot have a common ancestor or that domesticated dogs cannot have a common ancestor?

My last point was that selective breeding by humans has certainly changed dog's physical attributes. So a wide variety of dog morphologies can arise from selective pressure So I think you have to concede evolution happens to this degree at least.

Different LOOKING dogs are one species by chromosome. if you know about sexual reproduction ONLY a miracle can change a "36 chromosome parent pair" to species with OTHER totals.
Nobody who knows biology would say they believe evolution unless the career was threatened.
I can't "believe that in moderm 2025 there are still people that think Evolution Is" POSSIBLE by sexual reproduction without a miracle.

Depends how you define the term.

Natural selection, where useless or detrimental traits disappears due to environmental conditions? That has been proven by testing.

One species into another? That is still an unproven theory.
