I’m mad right now lol
At work me and another server had a party of 31 people. They tipped us $300, so $150 each.
Something got screwed up and the other server walked out with her $150 but for some reason my cash out slip said I owed them $209 (which doesn’t make any sense) so I only ended up walking out with $60 total tonight. Like where is my money? 😐
I made $5 from one table and like $15 from another. I should of walked out with about $170 (possibly even more than that because some of the people in the group left a separate tip) I realize they also tax the credit card tips but not THAT fucking much.
and the manager was the most unhelpful person ever, he blamed us for it and was like “Oh maybe you lost money, maybe she walked out with more money then she was supposed to”
Um, no. I watched her count out the $300 and split it evenly. I keep all my money in my book and I didn’t lose any. The issue is the system said I owed them more money than I was supposed to. So now I gotta go there on my day off tomorrow and talk to an actual helpful manager 😐

I talked to my GM about the situation, and there’s reason to believe that the other server is lying about not having extra money on her. What happened was that part of the bill was under my name so part of the cash should of gone to me, but she ended up taking all the cash. She said she assumed it was all part of her cash out and claims she only walked out with $154 that day. But she was there taking tables all day so her only making $154 doesn’t make sense either

My manager said they unfortunately can’t do anything about it because they aren’t supposed to get involved with tips. But he said he doesn’t think her story is adding up, he even looked up what she made and said she made $118 on credit tips alone so she 100% made more than the $154 she claimed. So next time I just need to be careful and make sure the cash that’s under my name, goes straight to me.
