+1 yI think the biggest one is that because I am short (and tiny) I get that stereotype of being loud and feisty. I fit into that one perfect. I make up for my height and size deficiency with having a big personality that I am not afraid to show.
I have asked my big koala here if he agrees and he sure does. He says he hasn't met someone as tiny as I am make so much noise on a regular basis. He also called me bossy. 😕 I guess I can see that too. Maybe that goes with the loud/feisty part of my personality.
I often hear how people of smaller stature tend to make up for it, even subconsciously, by being bigger other ways. So, that is true for me. Funny because big Ben is more quiet and reserved. I get more eye rolls and stares rather than shouting like I will do.53 Reply- +1 y
You have to make yourself heard to the world, especially if you can do really be made to see it from a horizontal position lol
- +1 y
Yes, I often view the world from that position and not because of anything good is happening. 🤣
- +1 y
Thank you for the MHO. I was able to enjoy it from the upright position. 🤣

+1 yThis is an interesting question because i think most people think of themselves as fairly unique. This is why stereotypes are so offensive to most of us. I also think most US citizens are not very introspective, so you’re asking to turn our own, often very judgmental, lenses on ourselves. And you’re getting a lot of responses! Kudos!
I think i’m a fairly stereotypical introvert. I have other stereotypical traits, but i don’t think they overshadow my drive to be self-aware, open-minded and different. I’ve too long abhorred conformity. I think i must look like a stereotypical white racist because i’ve had a couple people ask me as much outright before they ever heard me speak. I do shave my head and kinda wear resting jerk face. Ell oh ell! I’m kind of a stereotypical smart ass. If you say or do something dumb in my presence, i’ll tag you with sarcasm. I’m the stereotypical class clown, usually trying to win people over with humor. I’m actually going to have to ask my friends and family this question to learn if there’s more.00 Reply 2.9K opinions shared on Other topic. White (Irish ancestry).
Heterosexual.
Male.
American.
Some people stereotype those traits.
I won't get into opinions that I have on issues that some people would use to try to stereotype me.
Example: I hate the Democratic party, so liberals think I'm conservative. I'm not a Republican, so conservatives think I'm a liberal.
I support gun rights. I support the right to abortion. I oppose much of the radical transgender agenda. I support free speech. I oppose the covid "emergency measures" and the eugenics jab. I support worker's rights. I believe in government assistance for those in need at the expense of certain corporations that are too wealthy and powerful. I support a 1950s era, progressive income tax and an improved Social Security system. I value liberty, freedom and human rights. I oppose imperialism in all its forms. So what stereotype does all that make me?
People are almost always wrong when they stereotype others. It's a form of bigotry.00 Reply950 opinions shared on Other topic. I'm half Asian, but look like my Asian mother's mini-me, so:
I'm small like many Asian women - short, petite, and skinny. Like Priya, I'm not at all shy or reserved. And I may look fragile, but what I lack in brawn I make up for with treachery.
I'm good with numbers, my education background is business, primarily accounting. If you have Asian blood, most people think it's your ethnic duty to be good with numbers.40 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Typical weird goth. Aka who hates most people, has disturbing thoughts, has my room black and red filled or trying to be filled with Gothic and Anime things, likes Cold over Heat, Atheist who hates religions, Lazy Gamer, only goes out to Gigs really, hates my mother like a grumpy teen which I shall always be no matter my age, Loves Energy drinks.
Has depression. Been edgy. I fit into been a misfit goth as overall stereotype. Though plenty of stuff I don't do within that stereotype like wear black jeans overall I hate jeans they don't feel comfortable to wear.13 Reply- +1 y
Lol I'm not your typical goth I guess.
- +1 y
Probably not goth but that's judging hastily but tbf a lot of people say there goth when not.
Usually that falls into they like the aesthetic of it, or emo but got confused thinking that's what goth is same for vamp kids, then just simply not understanding what goth is when they decide to get into astrology and witchcraft like those two things really work. - +1 y
That's true lol
+1 yShy/introverts don't like people or are unfriendly.
I am shy and I usually keep to myself but that's mostly because I think people won't like me. I want to be sure people won't dislike me or think I'm weird but I have no way of knowing so I just keep my distance. I'm a friendly person but you need to approach me first.58 Reply- +1 y
How can anyone dislike you. You're a sweet girl
- +1 y
@Sparkie460 Thanks! But I usually keep to myself so people will assume I'm some kind of social reject or I'm an arrogant snob.
- +1 y
But you're not
- +1 y
@Sparkie460 Yeah lol.

You're up late.
- +1 y
@Sparkie460 What do you mean?
- +1 y
It was 1:00am when you were responding to me. Unless you're in a different time zone
- +1 y
@Sparkie460 I have a different timezone but it's summer so it's ok to stay up late.
+1 yI'm pure Irish with red/auburn hair and blue eyes. My beard is on fire, especially in the summer, so my appearance is quite typical. As well, I'm very feisty and stubborn. I can't stand Brits, have the typical South-West accent, and I have family members who were part of the IRA.
I also have many traits that aren't stereotypical of the white/Irish folks. I don't drink, I'm not on the "dole" (government assistance), I don't wear track suits, I am multilingual, culturally aware, I can handle all kinds of spicy food, etc.23 Reply- +1 y
track suits 😆
694 opinions shared on Other topic. The only stereotype I fit into is that of a Taurean;
We ponder deeply on all matters - love, life, money, work, the weather, any subject really. We deconstruct situations carefully, pull them apart in order to understand how things work and what makes people tick. This takes a while, hence being seen as lazy, and when it’s done means that our conclusions are thorough and rock-solid, hence why we seem stubborn, because we know our own mind.
Taureans can be gentle and we can be fierce, we don’t like to be pushed, we have strong opinions, and we love their home comforts.
And if you tell us a secret it stays a secret, we do not blab.00 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yI genuinely can't find a single stereotype that I fit in. I'm South Asian and enjoy wearing clothes from my culture, but I don't necessarily think that should be considered a stereotype. Like it's normal.
30 Reply I'm a white male, so no matter how I live my life or how I think or actually am, I'll be denied what makes me who I am, and will be thrown into the racist, misogynistic, homophobic, Islamophobic, Xenophobic, oppressor, etc. categories.

I can draw. I drew since I was 5 and continued on until my first year at uni. I drew for both my high school newspaper and my university newspaper in the comics section.
I used to read manga and watch anime quite a lot. Not as much anymore, but I still do occasionally.
I own a business. But, it’s not in the restaurant or finance or medical field. It’s in online marketing. - +1 y
The Top 4 in my original comment are the MOST stereotypical things though. 🙃

How about wonton?
- +1 y
Haha, I’ve actually assisted someone making those, but all I did was wrap and fold them. I’m not sure what the exact recipe is for the stuffing but I’m sure I could find out! 👨🍳

Yup you could. I think many people love wontons. Crispy 😋
+1 yI honestly don't know of any stereotypes that I fit into.
I don't even know what stereotypes would conceivably even apply to me, and that actually kinda makes me sad, lol.20 ReplyI don't know. I got comments about being a dumb blonde when I was blonde but usually jokingly or I get them about my height since I am 5” tall. People assume I’m always happy and nice because I’m tiny, cute, and approachable. That I don’t get mad or sad etc. Or people will comment on my body parts (worse when I was younger, guys in public are weird) Maybe a few times because I’m white and that I wouldn’t be able to understand something for that reason which wasn’t true

Opinion Owner+1 y@siseñor I went anon for my own reasons. Idc who knows im a simp. i adore smart women, but you don't know shit at 17, you just think you do. Like I said, you live in a Taliban world. Your only concern should be getting out. blah, blah, blah.
Opinion Owner+1 y@siseñor I don't care about upper ground. I don't care what you think either and I don't see anything worth adoring even though you own a vagina. Like I said, you should be trying to gtf out of your Taliban infested world.
