Man or Child? Who gets food first?

Ok just wanted to get everyone’s opinion on the old question of who get’s food first.. The Man or The Child?

Never heard of such question before what's the context?
Are we talking about people starving? because if so the child will live longer by been fed first.
Or are we talking about father who's been at work all day yet the child has just slept all day. The one who worked and used most energy of course needs to eat first.
So this question heavily depends unless if I am missing anything.

Also also in the starving situation if it's the man gathering the food in the first place let's say hunting or scavenging then the man needs to eat not the kid because the kid realistically is doing less and wouldn't be able to provide for it's self much like the guy going to work.

The child. The child is growing and cannot provide for itself. The child is strengthening and the nation needs it to grow to its full potential. The man is withering and must sacrifice what he can still do in order to prop up the future generation in order to leave them in the best stead possible. This is common sense.

Men don't deserve the respect of being served first just because we're the breadwinners. We might start thinking we're important or something. And it's important to teach your sons that growing up to be a man makes you an underling who sacrifices everything and gets nothing in return. You wouldn't want them looking up to their father and looking forward to being respected as a good man.

Who ever is growing the food gets to eat first. You don't get more food unless the machine gets more fuel...

Everyone who wants to eat, should put in work on the crop so that it is as big and healthy as possible and they can claim their share of the grub.
