I got a job offer that pays $24 an hour (45 mins away from me) my parents don't want me to take it because I'll have to move. Thoughts?

You can move if you want, or you can stay. 45 minutes is a normal commute for me, while driving or riding public transit.
If you think that 45 min is too far for you, but haven't done it before, then I would implore you to try it. I usually listen to books on tape, or practice my foreign language studies.

Traveling to work and college have both taken me around 45 minutes in the past, and I have even had to commute for an hour because of traffic. Your life will probably include similar arrangements at some point if you want to make more money per hour.

If you're moving either way, then your parents complaining about you 'having to move' is utter nonsense. So, basically, this is a completely pointless question as you clearly have made up your mind despite literally everyone telling you the same things. Thanks for wasting your time and ours.

You are an adult. What do you want? Is that enough to support yourself there rent, food, etc? Is anything attractive besides the rate? Is there hope for advance, ent? What can you get where you are?

Why would you have to move? I worked at a print shop for 11 years that took me 3 buses and at least 45:00 to just over an hour each way to get to and from!
