Was this fraud... what was it?

I live in the UK.

I just went to the supermarket and some really good looking guy crept up behind me when I was paying at self service till and placed his card on there for payment, without asking me if I wanted him to pay/ without it offering to pay?

I don’t believe he was hitting on me, as my entire face was covered by a mask was covered and I’m a UK size 12/14 etc. I was also wearing unflattering clothes and my hair is super short l as I get my extensions in next week. He was a 9/10 looks wise.

The security team was watching him, and they didn’t find it strange. I
He then offered to pay for anything else I wanted in the store, and told me to buy all my weekly groceries, and was extremely aggressive in instruction. I declined as I found it all strange.

He was also just generally standing around loitering by the self service checkouts watching people pay when I arrived (ie he was not shopping, but ‘watching’).

Is this fraud and if so- what kind is it?

Also, he mentioned something about getting £50 cash to he shop staff, if he bought me £50 worth of groceries.

I told him the whole thing made me uncomfortable, and he was relentless about buying me stuff.

I literally had to fight him off, to disengage his hounding to pay for my groceries, and I flatly refused and walked away to bring it all to an end.

I don’t understand it, do any of you?
