I was promoted at my workplace. That meant working less but getting paid more. Even though I liked my job position, I said yes to it. Hells yeah. I would have to be an idiot to say no to that.

I'm assuming this works every area of life too. People (human nature) want to go for benefits and what best suits them.

The other answer would be to be a comformist, say no to the job offer and be happy with my position. LOL. Hardly anyone will say no to that.

I agree, however, i do know individuals employed by COVID producer that are happy with their jobs and do not want the increased stress and workload. This one has a full life balanced with children, husband, extended family, and vacation etc. She is at a good place AND for her this is Self-serving.

So, in the end we all do what is best for Self and those that we consider important.

You're right about the extra work. I worked less and earned more but now I'm in charge on several employees and the production, more responsibility (more workload in those fewer hours) that's for sure.

It is about trade off. Some are willing and some are not.

That works in life up until you get married and have children. If you want a healthy marriage and a seriously good relationship with your children, you have to be willing to make sacrifices. Being a good parent is definitly a selfless job.
