Behavior in cats?

So there’s this stray cat I’m feeding and whenever I pet her she gets very aggressive when I stop. She wants to be petted literally 24/7. Does anyone know the cause of this?

She is unaccustomed to affection, likes it, and feels like she is being mistreated when it is withdrawn. Give it time to feel safe and comfy.
