Eventually i want a very small and a very big dog. It would just be such a cute combination. I definitely want a malamute, which is a breed that needs a lot of movement and time outside. They would fit well in with my lifestyle.
As for small breed i like toy poodles, yorkies & pomeranians. Basically smart, independent breeds. I think it comes down to me liking chill big dogs & feisty small ones.
The last pic is our family dog Strolchi. He lives with my mom, but i still love him and his geriatric heart <3

Choose dogs based on your lifestyle, home environment, temperament and purpose. When my son was young, I got him a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, as they are very loyal and protective. Now, I have Black Mouth Curs to keep the wild critters from stealing all my crops. Don't get an active dog if you are sedentary. Mixed breeds tend to be healthier, with fewer genetic challenges due to inbreeding, so choose your favorite breeds and find a dog that is that combination. Some dogs tend to get aggressive, especially with other same sex dogs. You don't want two alpha dogs. Dogs generally like being active, so make sure they stay stimulated by activity. Introduce a new dog in a neutral setting, and see how the dogs get along with each other. You want them to show interest and playfulness with each other, though make sure one doesn't play too rough. Don't shave your dog in the summer. Their hair actually helps them keep cool. Remember, adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment. Make sure they'll continue to fit into your future before choosing one.
A German Shepherd. Cute and loyal dogs, while also making good guard dogs, as well. They're not as aggressive as Dobermans, but not as weak and timid as Golden Retrievers and Greyhounds. They're the perfect mix of family dogs and guard dogs.
I'd ideally want a male tan German Shepherd. Or all-black. I want a dog SO BADLY, but I move around too much here in South Korea and change jobs often (I'll be starting my first ever second-year at a Korean teaching job next week).
i love german shepherds, they have a lot of self esteem, are very loyal and can be trained very well! My issue with them is that they very often have hip-problems because of over-breeding. you have to make sure to get one without a sloped back
I like the look of Akitas. But they're pretty ferocious guard dogs. But man, they look sharp.
I like Newfoundlands "Newfies" but they are humongous and drool too much.
I've had Siberian Huskies and Malamutes, but they are such hunters, get into so much trouble. They killed several other animal species in the vicinity (ours, neighbours.)

I've had several chows. Mine were sweethearts. They have breathing and hip problems often.
If you're looking for something small, have you considered the Norwegian lundehund? It was bred to hunt puffins, and can maneuver itself in ways that make it look like a cartoon character:

And if your heart's not set on the Malamute, give a thought to the Bergamasco sheepdog. It's friendly, trainable, basically lives to make you happy, doesn't shed or need to be brushed, and was apparently created in attempt to make real-world Photoshopping:
My neighbour has a Husky. He's the friendliest dog I've ever seen. One day I was coming back home from work and him outside... he locked himself out )) It was an extremely hot day and I had a bottle of water with me, so I called him and gave him some water. He drank from the palm of my hand)))
Since then, Every time he sees me, he runs to me, licks my hands, stands on his hind legs and puts his front ones on my shoulders looking at me with his incredible ocean blue loving eyes... I'm 5'11" so this is a big dog)) The loveliest creature I've ever met)) Honestly I sometimes think that he smiles...
I just gave the dog some water... That's all I did. Dogs are incredible! Absolutely wonderful!
Ironically I have an Alaskan malamute. My family had him since 2015, he’s pretty big now. He was a wild one but now he’s just chill for the most part but still has moments of energy
I do like lasting Huskies I do like Queensland Healers I like not golden labs what's the other lab called the yellow lab I can't think of it yeah I love all those dogs they're all good dogs anyway that's what I'm trying to say
I actually have that specific combination because I as well thought it'd be nice, I have a black chihuahua and a beige Labrador, this actually made me think imagine I got a white Labrador, I would have been called a white supremacist
One that I'm not allergic to. Wire-hairs are out!! I can hardly stop sneezing around them! Preferably something with long normal fur. Something like a collie, a Burmese mountain dog, maybe a sheepdog type. And, something about knee high.
Always preferred big dogs, and had better luck with mixed breeds. Looking at Rottweiler crosses when I get a stable enough schedule to get a dog of my own
