I sent a follow request to a woman that I use to work with at old my part time job and she didn’t except it?

I would say hello to her and talk to her at work. But then before I left that job our manager liked me who I didn’t have any interest in and she liked him. I was wondering if that could be why she didn’t except my follow request? No rude comments please.

Maybe she only wants to add people who are family and who are very close friends. Not everyone wants to add everyone they know, especially if they don't know the person very well or they have known them for long
