Recently told my mom over text that my spouse is trans and transitioning, and I'm probably gonna too. I expected some fucking angry reply or an immediate phone call or something. Weeks of silence is much more uncomfortable. We're visiting for a birthday this weekend so... I bet she won't say a fucking word then either. But we're gonna have to address it at some point. And I don't like losing control of how/when that was supposed to happen.
I'm a) of a generation that has never noticed or cared about such things and b) know enough about the technology to know how completely unreliable it is. So it's never been a thing for me.
I've been accused by others though. But when they're that emotionally invested in the ridiculous they aren't going to listen to an explanation like "my PC had Facebook open but I wasn't in front of it" or whatever the case may be.
Casually talking to one of my best friends 2 years ago and he leaves me on read. I was annoyed because he’d never done that to me before. No matter how many messages I sent him he wouldn’t open them after that. I found out 3 weeks later that he’d died from overdose right after leaving me on read.
Oh wow! Rip
That happened to my BFF didn't respond to my daily texts. Then a week later, another tells that she died. And I was probably the last person she spoke to 8 hours before she died. I'm STILL HEARTBROKEN & GUILTRIDDEN!
Tbh. I'm usually the one leaving on left on read.
I'm so busy i start reading something and get caught up in something and forget about the message
and so you never talk to them again ever?
yeah thats what i mean. like you are left on read and never talk to them again or at least a loooong time. like a year or longer
and no ones ever done it to you? basically ghosting.

Not the read, but today one girl requested me to give her the lecture's Google Meeting link, and I flat told her that the link is present in the sheet provided through a mail that is nearly 10 days since today. Hence way back in the inbox.
No easy work lady.
I thought that me and this girl were friends, but she usually text me asking me how I was doing and how my life was going. Then I replied her and she always left me on read.
This girl and I last talked by email in August 2011 and never heard from her again.
what was the last thing you said to her?
I don't put that much weight on it. Maybe they read it but got sidetracked and couldn't respond back, and then forgot. People get busy with their jobs/careers, etc.
'Please talk to me for once. How can you end a 2 years relationship without a reason.'
I was left read on this by my ex.
My Mom left me on read, I’m still trying to cope 😔
Once I spilled my heart and feelings out and got no response. It was prob the sweetest message I ever sent.
Who to?
It was to a guy I was dating when I was in college
He was a Fing idiot!
I kinda grew a thicccc skin over it. If they care, they will repsond. If they dont, fack u too. Perrty much 😂🤣
Never had a i was left on read moment since I almost never send text or DM's.
I don't text. Problems solved.
