Would you buy or hire a costume for an 80s night work do?

We've got an 80s costume work do coming up in a few weeks.

I don't really want to spend a lot of money on something I'll never wear again.

Most people I know are dressing up for it.

I was thinking of going to a costume shop to hire an 80s type of dress.

Would you hire instead of buying?

If you care about it, I guess I'd hire one. Or just play down the price a bit as that might save just as much. A cheaper outfit has its perks too. Being willing to utterly destroy it can be a rather liberating feeling.

Otherwise hire. Assuming you actually care about this.
