A year and a half ago it was a little over 4,000 miles.
Ironically my goal has always been to be close to my parents, lol.. But it's been the opposite. I'll be back in the states next year. I want them to move to a different state where i can settle down, but the places I want they don't have property at so they're reluctant. My sisters are super close to them, but i personally think I'm better when it comes to taking care of them especially since i don't have kids.

Oh i understand, it's easier for them to stay at their own property so far... well let's see what the future brings šš¼

I haven't lived with parents since I was about 20. It was one of the best decisions I ever made, moving out. Financially tough, but psychologically greatly beneficial.
I was 1300 miles away for many years. (That was both good and bad.) Then 4 1/2 hrs, and required a boat to get there. That sucked. Made the trip such an ordeal, and definitely prevented me from seeing more often.

+1 yI moved out when I was 20. For several years, I lived in the same town as my parents, about 30 minutes away. Then I moved farther away, about 6 hours by car, for a couple years, before moving back to my hometown, where again I was about 30 minutes away,

@Guardian45 I'm the 3rd born of 5 and I was told my entire life that when I was born I was the only one my family didn't want because I was ugly and ruined my family's perfect look, the only reason why they kept me was because my mom didn't want the negative image of giving up one kid and having more but she would've aborted me if she knew I was going to come out so ugly. Dealt with that kind of shot my entire life but I tried living as the best person I could be, never getting into trouble and the moment I moved out they ceased contact with me and at first it hurt but it became a blessing.

I guarantee you are better off without those ungrateful bastards! Stay Strong! F them, Bro!

We live 2 miles from my mom and dad because when we got married they gave us 20 ares of land for us to build our house on and it's where My friends and I used to ride our horses and 4 wheelers as we got older to the creek and picnic. It's part of the small ranch that I grew up on and my dad and mom still own.
21 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Unfortunately, yes. But honestly, i don't mind. Not saying I'm still wanting out but seeing as i wanted out when i was 21... and just a few weeks ago I almost burned down my house due to an old pan but mom was there to help... I'm glad to have them near me for now. Otherwise, I be so fked.
So... SOOOO many times I would be taking a sand paper dildo up the bum if I didn't have them.
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Yes, my dad had a stroke years ago that left him using a walker for his balance plus he is blind on one eye and can't hear well. My mom drives him and sometimes I go for his appointments and stuff. If my dad didn't need someone to care for him, I would have moved out in my 20's.

1.2K opinions shared on Other topic. I would prefer to move into the house next door to my parents. The owners died in a house fire and I don't know what their heirs have planned for it, hopefully they'll put it on the market and I can get it. I might want to gut the interior and redo it, but I would need to see it first.
