I'm not Anglo, I'm Mediterranean. We're raised to have and respect a family unit. So living with parents or parents living with you isn't uncommon.

Anglos are raised that family units don't exist & aren't worth respect. Hence they sleep around, etc and kids tossed from the house as soon as possible.

My parents live in my 4 story, 1500 sq foot per floor, house as is very common amongst Mediterranean, Asiatic, Arabic and some Central & Eastern European culture.
