If they think you have a girlfriend, simply tell them you don't. There is no reason to use a trigger word like Incel. That word has long ago lost it's original meaning and turned into something completely different.

There is no reason use the word Incel. There is no reason to say that you are not the son they always wanted. You are attaching all kinds of things to it that don't belong. You don't have a girlfriend, simple as that.

You are actually more normal than you think. There is no reason for all the self judgement.

Everyone is an incel until they aren't. All it really takes to stop being one is curbing the sort of self absorption and pursuit of maximum immediate pleasure that causes one to use terms like incel in the first place, and get out in the world to show you know how to navigate the social world. Women are far less picky than we imagine them to be. Sure they have ideals but they know no one lives up to them.
