Since Roman Society was patriarchal and the Roman Catholic Church needed to gain control of two opposing groups Romans and Christians. It is natural that they assigned a male sex to "God" Maybe it was a little early to give God a Charlton Heston face. If he/she can chose to appear any way he/she wants ( Burning Bush that is not consumed, Pillar of Fire, Cloud) I would assume that the creative force is sexless. I believe that Islam assigns no sex to Allah. I think someone has assigned the devil a female sex. Many songs suggest that possibility based on mankinds inability to say no, which by the way was God's plan all along.
I've heard the band FFDP referance God (song: wrong side of heaven) as she, but nobody else.
anyway, god is considerably female for she is creative, literally. Whilst the devil is destructive, a male trait. There is something flawed with this thought though: it doesn't mention that duality is necessary. It's also to religeous.

Genesis states that God walked with Adam in the cool of the evening, thus suggesting a common appearence. We are created in his image. Sounds masculine to me. In the introduction to the story of Job, God and ( Satan/Lucifer) are having a discussion about Jobs faithfulness.
Very true. Traditionally some have attributed the fall to man's inability to say "not tonight honey I got a headache' But re-read that part of Genesis. Even when God said you gotta leave, He did not change his mind about Adam and Eve's assignment. It just became more difficult. Adam had to support the family, Eve's pain in childbirth was greater and her attention to Adam was intensified since he was hiding what he could not hide before under a fig leaf.( Very Scratchy)

Not “nobody”; lots of people have said the devil must be a woman. Probably at least half jokingly more often than not. But i IS being said and has been for a long time.
