  Satan was an angel of light until he became envious of God's glory and he wanted to be better than God, he convinced other angels to turn against God and it turned into a war in the kingdom of God, when Satan and his angels were defeated, God banished him from the heavens and the angels that sided with him, fell along side him, it's where the words fallen angels comes from, demons are fallen angels
