How would you feel if you went to a place and the only word they could say was 'woke'?

Realistically it would evolve to mean different things. There are many species that communicate with rather similar sounds yet convey meaning.

Of course it would be annoying to us though. Not being able to have a conversation would suck. But! I'd find it quite interesting to experience a different world and learn a completely new language. Probably would also be curious if there are any biological differences causing it. Might be time to change occupation and examine a few bodies.
