Any ideas please?

I have 3 dogs and they are all rescued. They are normally okay but now they are peeing down out bed/sofa and over everything really. I picked on of them up to tell them off and he was growling and he scratched me.

They are normally well behaved but they are acting weirdly. Me and my boyfriend are out most of the time so we get neighbours, family members and dog sitters/walkers to check on them.

Unfortunately we can no longer afford to keep them and no family member wants to take them so I am going have to put them up for adoption. I was wondering if maybe someone is hurting them? Or maybe we are gone for so long they don't know us anymore if that makes sense.

I did volunteering in an animal shelter a few years ago and they were going to be put down so I decided to adopt them. But at the time I was in a bigger house and was living with other people. Our 'friend' in the pandemic couldn't keep her dog anymore so she asked us to take him for a few weeks. 2 years later we still have him 😂

We now live in a small studio lower ground flat/apartment with a small garden/yard. Yes it is a small space but they go on walks 3 times a day and the back door is left open most of the times. We can't afford to out the heating in anyways. They have toys, beds, and plenty of water and food.

So yeah I kinda got side tracked there. The main thing is me and my boyfriend have to go to a food bank now to buy food when with a full time and a part time wage. We can't afford to keep them anymore and it breaks my heart.

I'm worried that they will think I was hurting them as they are acting weird. I can check on the days who is watching them but I am not so sure. Amy ideas please?
