When i was young, the US was VERY obsessed with “Africanized honey bees”. Bees so black they MUST be dangerous! Ha! Now, y’all are worried about “murder hornets” that people handle daily with little to no care in the world! Ell oh ell!
Meanwhile, farm crops are in danger because there are no bees to pollinate them. So…. who’s endangering who? Are we killing murder hornets, or are they killing us?

We as humans, we are putting in non native even invasive pollinators that attract the wrong species. Murder hornets are just a symptom.

What constitutes a threat? Does it have to sting you, or just land on you? Does it have to sting you before you defend yourself?
I’m deathly allergic and i’ve never had to kill a bee since learning of my sensitivity. I’m not easily convinced that bees or hornets are ever really a threat.
