If someone murdered me I wouldn't, cos what good would punishing them do?
That won't bring me back, it's over now, I can't come back... The only thing punishing them will do is make another person suffer life in prison being bored as hell... For what? It's not gonna bring me back,
If someone murders me I jus want a brick thrown at their face and that be the end of it

I agree with you that I don't want them to suffer.
I just want them to learn from their mistakes.
That's what you justice system does here in Norway.
It's modeled on parenting rather than places to hold and punish people.

I personally don't believe in anything of the sort and expect to no longer experiencing *anything* after death.
And not being *capable* of haunting anyone either way, simply because there's no *me* left to do the haunting.
No, I don't believe in souls or ghosts or anything of that sort.
To me my whole being, every though and feeling I've ever had was a result of the dynamic pattern of chemicals and electricity shooting around in my brain at all times.

Killing me involves ending that permanently.
I don't believe *any* of us have more than one life.
No heaven or hell.
That's part of why I wouldn't want my killer killed or wasting away in a jail.
Yes, he needs to learn to change so he won't end any more lives, and I hope he'll get reformed.
But past that it doesn't help anyone that he's there in jail instead of living life once he has learned his lesson, however short or long time that takes.

Punishments and making people feel bad doesn't do the trick either.
Our justice system here in Norway is based around parenting principles and tries to use positive reinforcement instead when possible.
The guards try to create friendships with the prisoners, and they're encouraged towards better behaviour, rather than punished for bad one.
And given more freedoms and responsibilities as they show that they're worthy of the trust.
*Most* people *want* to be good people after all.
