Is a woman with the dark triad personality just as bad as a man?

I've heard several women fall victims to men with the “dark triad” personality (Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy). How about the female counterpart of those men? How would it be like if someone were to be with her?

What if a woman had those same disorders. Is a woman with the dark triad just as bad too?

I like psychology and I've heard so many about those men using their charm to lure women. Now I'm wondering about how their female equivalent would be like.

I know about how male narcissists and even sociopaths sounds like but not too much about female ones.

You're going to have to explain more about this “dark triad” personality before I can answer this, cause I don't know what you're talking about, here.

Do you basically mean the Amber Heard's, Casey Anthony's, and suburban mom Karens of the world? Cause I'd say they're both bad, on both genders. However, this seems to be waaaaaaaaaaaaay more common on women than men. Men usually can't get away with being a piece of sh*t in society like so many women can, Amber Heard included up until mid 2022.

Yes the dark triad personality includes narcissism, psyhopathy and machiavellianism. I always thought it was rarer for a woman to have those traits since we always heard about girls falling for those men. Even it comes to psychopathy for instance the ratio of men and women having it seems to be 1:10 or 1:20... there are still more men than women having it so it makes you think female like them are rare breeds. Those are good examples of females with those trait. The one that got acquitted for killing her own daughter is so the worst woman ever.

It may be harder to scientifically pin down an actual ratio, since it may manifest in different ways. It's been theorized that psychopathy manifests in a more antisocial pattern in men, and a more histrionic pattern in women. Now for narcissism, that's universal.

Being evil seen as unfeminine trait, while 'all girls want bad boys' is a fairly common trope.

Yet how are female psychopaths or narcissists still able to get a partner? They don't just get sex. They get into relationships too, even marriages.
I've seen cases of those on the ID channel and a couple stories about some poor dude realizing who she really is when he's trapped in a marriage with kids.

Both are equally bad, but dark triad women are not nearly as attractive to men as dark triad men are to women.

Yet I'm shocked to hear a couple of those women still manage to get into a relationship or even got married. It's seen in cases on the ID (investigation discovery) channel. I suppose they likely act in different manner and not as aggressive as males but conning and manipulative.

I'm guessing they use charm too to get a man, likely a gullible, shy, quiet one.

That and girls are good at masking. Take for example my wife. She has aspergers syndrome. You would not be able to tell from looking or even talking to her. She hides it well, but if you get to know her it eventually comes through.

Both males and females with the dark triad personality have one thing in common; they're great at detecting naive people that lack streetsmart. They have that ability to know how is innocent and who isn't... interesting how they detect that.
