Do you think it looks bad if a woman is darker than her partner?

I wonder how many people think that way even though it seems archaic. I am interested in white men (as well as Indian men) and I am an Indian so not the palest shade of white. I do find pale white men exotic and interesting. I also like tanned white men but I find the pale ones more authentic. Looking for some honest opinions.

It seems to be quite a common cross-cultural trope that girls should be lighter coloured than men. But considering how many white guys love Asian girls, it's no problem at all! In general it's not because of skin tone, but other features, like eyes, hair, body type, etc. I said Indians in particular because some Indians are really dark and that's not what is considered beautiful culturally, as far as I've heard.
