What extreme weather event have you survived in your life?

For me, multiple floods and hurricanes, Harvey being one of the most intense and destructive.

To put it into perspective, this is what we were dealing with (see video). It's been years now and construction still rages on to raise bridges and overpasses, to lift houses in certain areas so they are at least 4-8 feet above the ground, complete demolition of certain areas that can no longer be built on because of the risk of total annihilation, and several businesses/apartments/homes are just now being rebuilt after being demolished. There was so much trash and debris from homes and trees after this storm, it was unbelievable and with no way to remove it, we all basically lived in a dump of our own lives for about 4 months straight, some without power for a good portion of that, before slowly they got to your neighborhood and started clearing things away.
