When you're answering someone's post here and you see it has argumentative people in it, do you back out and move on to another question?

I am getting really sensitive lately to things that are stressful to me. When I am reading a post and see people arguing and trying to one up each other, I stop and back out of the question.
Shoot! If I wanted to be in arguments, I wouldn't have gotten divorced! 🙂

Sometimes, yes. Particularly if there's nothing I can add to the topic or if the arguer person is going through replying to everyone's replies. Then it's just not worth answering. It's as if a bored lawyer went into random courtrooms and starting arguing cases.

What's worse, and I absolutely will back out of that question, is when the asker asks a question and then argues with everyone answering the question -- even the people who agree with them.

Sage, earlier a guy posted a video of Candice Owens, and then lied about the video. He said that Candice Owens said that women shouldn't be in the workplace. Of course, many haters came to the asker's defense, even though he lied about the video. And if any of them had bothered to watch the video, they would see he was lying. But they just hated Candice, because she was a conservative. I tried to confront them, but the asker blocked me, because he knew I was right. I loved that. I just blocked him and every idiot that bought his lie.

I'm on another site, and the people took me under their wings, and told me to just block all the jerks. They said it was the only way to make the site enjoyable. I blocked at least 100 of them, and then the site got fun. Just a thought.

You're going to find that a lot of people here hate questions and try to destroy them just because they make a conservative point.

If I offer an opinion and someone else bashes it, it’s my opinion. Most of the time, I don’t respond.

I will automatically back out if I see that the asker is being argumentative, yes. I'm not walking into that bear trap.

If it's one of the people answering that's being a jerk, then that doesn't usually deter me.

I hear you. I'm divorced too. I know I have strong views and I don't mind healthy debate, but in this day and age, more people are interested in hating than debating. I DON'T have time for idiots.

Sadly, the best topic for debate used to be politics, but now has the most haters, trolls, retards, deniers and liars.

@exitseven I do see you come to our rescue when other user's are getting all uppity with us and not being respectful. I'm glad you take a stand when it comes to sticking up for Trump like I do.
I just read a post where you stepped in about Trump and TicTok. That lady was being disrespectful to you - telling you to stay in your house, etc. I just put my two sense in to her. She's terribly rude.

naw, she is okay. I try to pay attention to people not only what they say but how they say it. Everybody has a different style of communicating. I don't think she was being rude.

No. If they disagree that is fine. I will consider the counter argument. If the person (s) just want to argue, though, I will mute the conversation and move on to something else.

I usually argue with whomever comes across the most self righteous even though I probably don’t care about the subject matter.
