I have a small vegetable garden. It's a little bigger than the top picture. I had gardens when I was young, then didn't have any for a few decades. About five years ago I experimented with a very small garden with only 5-6 plants. Each year I've increased the size by a foot or two each direction.
I've been growing in containers more and more. Now the containers grow almost as much as the garden in the ground. Old drywall buckets hold enough soil to grow tomatoes and peppers. I reuse the large size coffee cans for small plants like petite carrots and radishes.
I mostly start from seed. It's getting that time of year to seriously start thinking about planting for spring. I made a hotbox for indoor seedlings. I keep the room temperature low in the winter, so I need something warmer to germinate seeds. It's still fairly cool inside the hotbox, so germination is slow. I try to start cool weather crops in February, and warm weather crops by mid March at the latest.

Absolutely. I don’t feel that I have time for managing one (at least on my own) at this point in my life. I would love to one day.
