What's the dumbest thing you've ever seen anyone do?

Freshman year in biology, one of my classmates got the bright idea to pierce her nose right there in class. She did it with someone else's earring. Yes, this really happened.

Once an extension cord broke in an outlet so the metal part was still in the hole but not the rest of it. So my mom when she saw it bent over to just yank it out bare skin, no turning off the power or using pliers, my dad stopped her from shocking herself. Oh and once I had jury duty and while on lunch break I saw a guy go in for a parallel park by going in front bumper first, he was a good 2 feet or so away from the curb when he decided he parked. me and another guy who was chosen was just laughing at the bad parking job

So many things it is hard to pick just one. I knew a kid that married a girl from a pretty affluent family. He was a real hippie. The girls father had a pretty nice sailboat ans this kid had a party on the boat one day. After lots of booze and dope he decides to take the boat out for a ride. He did not know how to sail so soon the boat ended up on the rocks. I imagine the father was not amused.

Shipmate in the Navy was showing off and said "watch this shit" and turned on a charged fire hose. Idiot forgot (assuming he ever learned it) that the incredible pressure in the hose was way stronger than him. Hose beat him against a bulkhead.
