Are the rumors that Gag took away the downvote feature and emojis because of the trolls downvoting everyone, true?

If that's the case, why couldn't they leave the other emojis and just remove the downvote button, or make downvotes public or put restrictions to this feature (such as being at least level 4 to being able to downvote).

Gag posted the update and said it was due to confusion of what the emojis meant. But I have seen the downvote trolls so at least that is sort of gone as well.

Yeah I think some trolls were abusing the downvote feature and targeting certain users with it and other commenting on their posts.
