Or in public settings? Is self-description helpful for blind audience members? Do you think self-descriptions should be the default or by the blind person's request? Any insights or perspectives are appreciated. Thank you for your time.
I feel like I've stepped into another episode of The Twilight Zone!
The other day, I was watching an episode of, "Chappell's Show" and it featured a bit where a blind an was an extreme racists that hated blacks and wasn't afraid to say it in public. Little did he know that HE was a black man!!
In the case of your blind scenario, would it also be expected for every person that meets this blind person to tel them what race they are before they speak to them? How about religion? What about disabilities or mental acuity? Where does it end? Would the blind person have to do likewise in case they're talking to another blind person?
How about we just STOP playing this fucking STUPID PC politics bullshit game and go the fuck back to the way things were 30 or 40 years ago when most people still had a fucking brain? Why can't we just go back to accepting people for who or what they are and stop fucking around with this identity bullshit? It's getting to be like the fucking gestapo!! "Your papers!! I can't talk to you without seeing your identification!! Mach schnell!!"
You wanna talk to me, you go right the fuck ahead and talk to me!! I don't need to know all your intimate proclivities just to converse with you!! I don't WANT to know unless you wanna tell me, over the course of a conversation! You're a fellow human being and THAT'S all that counts!!!
