The choice that you make shouldn't necessarily mean you want it, but are you with or against plastic surgery if the ehh idc category didn't exist.

There are people with real disfigurements that could benefit from plastic surgery. Also, some people have a perceived flaw in their appearance and they could also feel better about themselves with cosmetic surgery. People who get it done to please or attract a member of the opposite sex should give it a pass.

You should read the book psycho-cybernetics. The author was a plastic surgeon. The book came out in the 50s I believe. He discovered the self image as we know it after seeing patients and studying them.

With if they need it. Eg. Had I gotten the nose or ears from my dad's side of the family I would have fixed them because they don't go with my face. But surgery to look like someone else is not something I'm into.

i'm against surgeries that are purely plastic in nature. like correcting your teeth to use them better or your nose to breath better is fine to me, if the plastic part also matters to you. but if it's only gonna be plastic, i'm against it.
