I’ve been around since 2015 and I have 541 blocked and counting. I’m sure thats nothing compared to the 100,000+ users on this site. I feel I can be a pretty nice person. But some people say and ask ignorant stuff to try to trigger you. Others send inappropriate pictures or constantly post nude thirst trap pics that somehow never get removed. Some are spammers and ask you to email or call a weird number. A lot rudely troll. I have a sense of humor, but bashing, is simply a no no. Some others like to bully other users and I won’t tolerate that either. As for debates and disagreements, some have handled them civilly while others throw jabs. Too many make assumptions and like to bash a whole group or political party rather than a specific individual. Freedom of speech is one thing but I just won’t tolerate disrespect. I will continue to use the block button for as long as we have it.

Yup. Every person who demonstrates willful ignorance gets one warning. If they don’t knock it off or at least stay away from my posts, i block them. There’s not many good reasons to participate on this site if you’re not helping people or accepting help. It’s actually shameful that G@G refuses to add “misinformation” as a reason for reporting posts. So many people post flat out lies here, it’s ridiculous. Apparently this social medium is just like the rest, feelings over facts. It should be a crime.

Ya I’ve been here for over 2 years. I’d say the three types I block are:

1. Scammers.. people who on the first night we dm ask for my WhatsApp or tell me to go to their OF page

2. Propaganda - the political section has people (either right or left) who just post fake news and want to win debates instead of being open minded

3. Trolls - seeing a repeated pattern in their questions or answers that they are not wanting to be realistic on gag

A handful. None on this site tho. Someone has to do something pretty bad to get blocked by me. I use it sparingly, but am not afraid to use it if the circumstances call for it. It truly comes down to mutual respect for others. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If it’s a minor argument, there is no reason to block them, because I wouldn’t expect someone to block me in that situation. But if it’s more major and crossed a line, then yes I’d expect to be blocked, and I’d block that person.


And because of that, I never unblock people either. Blocking is a way to say you never want to talk again. And only as a last resort. So it should be treated as such.
