It's a common misconception that women care more about what men think than vice versa. In reality, both men and women are socialized to value the opinions of others and seek approval, especially from people they are attracted to or care about.

As human beings, we have a natural tendency to seek validation and approval from others. This is because social interaction is a fundamental aspect of our lives, and being accepted and valued by others is important for our emotional well-being and self-esteem.

In today's society, social media and the constant exposure to the highlight reels of others' lives can also play a role in increasing our need for approval and validation.

They really do! The majority of men I know don’t think at all, pathetically predictable it’s embarrassing quite honestly. I used to think we finally grow up and become wiser as we approach the 40s but unfortunately that’s not the case.


A-lot of men do thankfully but the majority are still obnoxious brats, I’m sorry I meant obnoxious masculine brats. I think women do that because they want to give those men the validation they crave or the illusion of it to satisfy their needs so they can Simply get off their back and go do what they’re supposed to do.

Because we are all driven by the need to reproduce for the most part. Men want women to find them attractive, and vice versa.

A bit of caring is good, too much can be bad. You just have to find the sweetspot.

A lot of people will say, not to give a shit what the other sex thinks. Well, that would make you a terrible partner, if you didn't care at all. You should care enough to keep the people close to you happy, and not care about the others.

Also, if you think it's tough meeting male standards, why don't you try coming over to the other side, where it's basically our job to prove ourselves to women. So grass ain't always greener.

That would only be true if they woman likes the guy as a friend or at least should be an acquaintance or should have some value in the woman's life. Otherwise I don't see any reason as to why a woman would care what a guy thinks.

Another reason could be because they think a guys opinion can help them understand things and bring a positive change.

Because people define their self worth based on opinions of others or external things. Both men and women do this , it isn't exclusive to either sex. Until one becomes mature enough to create value from within which takes time and wisdom they will crave the attention and validation from external things/people which is basically an inconsistent rollercoaster of emotions.
