Do you believe that a person can only be big, muscular & threatening to be intimidating. Or can anyone with the right "presence" be intimidating?

I'm 5'2". I used to be military. I used to be sheriffs.

When I was doing some security at a friend's bar/bistro years ago I merely had to stare at a patron who was running his mouth for the guy to shut up, get agitated, and take himself out. It is comical because the patrons he was sitting with were die-hard, rain or snow, regulars & their reaction was essentially what the fuck is wrong with you "that's X she's a sweetie, etc."

But today I was helping my mum at the bank and the teller made a snide comment about how she didn't need a receite for her transactions. Mum could not hear him due to her poor hearing but I did. He tried to make a joke of things when mum asked what did he say - commenting oh don't you laugh, it's Monday, etc. Basically been an ass of himself.

I was watching him and very calmly asked for his name.

After he gave his name - by mistake I think, it was an automatic answer - he tried to do a stare down. To the point that he had stopped helping my mother to stare at me.

You could almost see the beads of sweet pouring off his forehead and bobbing adam's apple as I stared back. It was extremely obvious he was worried I was going to go to the manager about his behavior but I had done nothing threatening, etc. to him whatsoever.
